1991 Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ81

For sale is a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ81. This cruiser is an import car from Japan and is turbo diesel. The car currently has just under 210kms which comes out to 130k miles. I love these rigs and I've had quite a few but never one with this few miles! This truck drives quite nicely. The interior of this car is in okay shape, the rear door cards have seen better days, but the seats are all in pretty great shape with no real excessive wear or pilling of the alcantara. The center console has a little fridge inside but the truck currently needs an AC belt for it work. The front two seats are heated and work well. The resistor in the heat controls only wants to work on high and low from what I've noticed. I do have an american spec control panel I can include with the car and I believe it should fit right in. The engine in this car runs like a top, the 1hdt 4.2 turbo is well known to be an amazing Toyota diesel. There is absolutely no blow by present. This truck was not optioned with the factory lockers but does have a rear LSD. (axle code K295) The truck is sitting on 33" mud terrains from ironman tires on a set of procomp 16" wheels with a full size matching spare. Overall the body is in decent shape without much rust. The arb bumper definitely will need blasted and re-powdercoated. The suspension lift feels good but all looks old and could likely use refreshed at some point. The liftgate was previously repaired and done poorly however and the bottoms of the doors/rockers were sprayed with some sort of liner product. The undercarriage is solid with no rot but this truck did live in canada for some time. I have sprayed everything with ospho to treat any surface rust. All in all this truck is a great starting point for someone wanting to build a diesel 80 series. The miles are right and the bones are good but it will take some elbow grease to become a 25k+ rig like most of these are. It'd be hard to find a drivetrain with this low mileage out of one of these for much less than asking.
