1994 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ81

1994 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ81

For Sale is a 1994 Toytota Land Cruiser HZJ81. This Cruiser is a Japanese import and has the legendarily reliable 1HZ diesel engine paired to the same auto "bus" trans that we got here in the states. ~239750kms = 149k miles. Toyota still produces the 1HZ so parts are extremely easy to source. You won't be winning any land speed records in this NA mechanical diesel, but they are regarded as one of Toyota's most reliable engines and these days, they make for a great bug out rig. This particular model has the k295 axle code which means the rear diff has a limited slip differential. Much like the american 80 series, this one is full time 4wd and has a center locking differential as well on a push button for functionality in both high and low range. Overall this cruiser is in wonderful shape and one of the cleanest examples of an 80 series I've yet to own. The emerald green color is one of my personal favorites and it shines up so well. The body is extremely rust free as is the undercarriage. There are two spots on the rear hatch where there is no paint and I suspect at one point there were bubbles that had been sanded. The 2 spots in question are visible in the photo of the rear of the car and have both been treated and are 0% soft. The interior is in pretty great shape as well. Everything works. Carplay has been added via a JVC double din. The truck still sits on original adjustable dampening suspension and it is still in working order as well. (normal/sport mode) I do have a set of stock 80 series springs and shocks with less than 20k miles that are oem toyota parts I'd be happy to include for a potential buyer if desired. These are also my favorite oem 80 series headlights as they have an integrated fog light in the glass housing along with the low/bright headlight. The jdm rigs got a lot of cool features but the auto headlights, headlight squirters, and altimeter/compass in the overhead console are probably some of my favorites. The only other present issues are that the tbelt light is stuck on, the oil pressure gauge is inop, (extremely common) and a few stubborn stains in the rear carpet as photographed. Imo, I would just remove the tbelt light, the reset button doesn't seem to work any longer. The last timing belt was done at 203kms (36kms ago) and they are due every 100,000kms. The tires are very fresh and they are 285/75r16 on a set of very clean factory 80 series alloy wheels. I'm happy to send detailed photos of any other zones potential buyers may want to see or schedule a facetime or test drive. Listed by The Dirt Tourist DLR# 190. Asking $19,500 OBO. Happy to entertain trade deals for other Toyota 4wds. Feel free to ask away with more questions/details! Thanks for taking a look.
