2008 Toyota Tacoma

2008 Toyota Tacoma

This is a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, but its not your normal Tacoma anymore. This truck has been purpose built to go just about anywhere you can point it and look good while doing it. I acquired this truck from a friend who owned it down in Arizona. The truck was an Arizona truck all its life before I moved it up here to the northwest this last April. This truck is a blast to drive, gets all the eyes, and shreds offroad. Lets talk about the build.

Let’s start off with what the truck is from factory. This truck is a 2008 Trd offroad Toyota Tacoma in the double cab short bed configuration. Currently the truck has 156k miles and has had 2 owners. The truck has the 4.0 v6, an automatic 5 speed transmission, and 8” axles with a factory rear e locker. The axles have been regeared with 5.29 gears that have been REM treated and set by ZUK. A Harrop/Eaton front e locker has also been installed. The truck now has some pretty crazy suspension. Up front it has a set of Bilstein 8112 coilovers with Total Chaos upper control arms, factory lower arms with a Marlin Crawler brace kit, and weld on spindle gussets. The body mount has been relocated and tire clearance has been made with a bit of BFH and fender trimming. The fender cuts have been covered with better edge trim from Trail Toys. The rear suspension has a set of OME Dakar leafs with hammer hangers and 14” Bilstein 7100 shocks with a relocation kit. This truck droops like mad in the rear. For armor, the truck has Warfab skids from the winch tray all the way to the back of the tcase. A set of rock sliders and a custom rear bumper round out the sides and the front has a simple winch tray along with a relocation of the lowest core support for a better approach angle. The truck currently sits on 35x12.5x17 BF Goodrich KM3 tires wrapped around a set of Stealth Custom Series Ray 10s in a 17x9 -38. The exhaust has been rerouted above the tcase for more clearance and the muffler has been replaced with a smaller offroad style muffler and ends at the axle.

Whew, thats a lot of stuff. Moving on to the not so mechanical bits, the truck has a set of Baja Designs S2 pod lights as ditch lights, a set of no name pods lights wired to the factory fog switch, morimoto HID retrofit headlights, and rock lights all around. The winch tray is filled with a Smittybuilt 12k synthetic winch with a Factor55 fairlead and Ultrahook. The truck has a cb radio plumbed into the cab that sits at the rear of the center console as well as a new Apple CarPlay head unit. Ceramic tint all the way around makes for this truck to stay cool in the warm summer months. I think thats everything worth mentioning, but I may be missing more haha. Now for some photos.

this truck is offered for sale at 25k. Feel free to ask away with questions you may have or any desire for more photos. The truck is ready to go and I am happy to help deliver the truck to wherever you might be in the lower 48. Thanks for taking a look! Reach out at 208.271.1011
